Tanyun modified PVB types and specifications

Tanyun modified PVB resin produced mainly for its Tg points of the increase, physical specifications are shown below.

TB-17T, TB-18T other specifications have excellent heat resistance, it can be applied to the printed circuit board adhesive.

TB-05T is suitable for printing inks and paint products.

TF-1 is mainly used for the preparation of a variety of high temperature, high strength adhesives, inks paints, enamels, and advanced coatings.

General characteristics

Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) resin is the appearance of white spherical powder or multi-particle porosity, specific gravity of 1: 1; however, the packing density is only 0.20 ~ 0.35g / ml.

Chemical Properties

Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) resin film has good water resistance, alkali resistance and oil resistance (for aliphatic, minerals, animal and plant oils are resistant, but not resistant to castor oil) . Due within PVB containing high hydroxyl, good pigment dispersion, it is widely used in printing inks and coatings. In addition to its chemical structure contains both hydrophobic acetal group with vinyl acetate and a hydrophilic hydroxyl groups, so the PVB and glass, metal, plastic, leather and wood, etc. have good cohesiveness.

Chemical Reaction

PVB dissolution method

Processing Properties

Compatibility

PVB is compatible with several resins such as phenolic resins, epoxy resins, alkyd resins and melamine resins. Acetal higher degree of PVB and alkyd resins can be partially compatible; general PVB and low molecular weight epoxy resins are compatible, high molecular weight epoxy resins need to choose a high degree of acetalization of PVB to mutual capacitance.
